Hi! I am Phyliss, a Charlotte local, mom of two, and the founder of School Guide Charlotte 

I have personally navigated the Charlotte private school search twice — once before COVID and once after — and I have spent years researching, visiting, and verifying hundreds of schools across the greater Charlotte area.

I know these schools not just from the research — but from walking the hallways, sitting in the open houses, talking to admissions personnel and connecting with the families who are already there. I care deeply about helping Charlotte families find the right school for their child, and I would love to help yours

  • You will hear from us within 24-48 hours of booking to confirm your session and send over your intake form.

  • Not at all! Our 1-on-1 sessions are completely standalone — you do not need to purchase a guide beforehand. However, many families find that reviewing a guide before their session helps them come prepared with more specific questions.

  • Yes! For Charlotte-area families, an in-person meeting can be arranged. Please mention this preference when you fill out your intake form, and we will do our best to accommodate.

  • We completely understand that life happens! We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules. Please reach out to us directly, and we will find a time that works for your family.

  • Sessions are non-refundable once completed. If you need to cancel before your session, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance, and we will be happy to reschedule.

  • I am not a special education expert — and I want to be upfront about that 

    However, I have researched and toured several specialized schools in the Charlotte area and have a working knowledge of the programs available for children with dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum, and twice-exceptional needs.

    I can help you understand your options and navigate the application process — and I will always be honest with you about the limits of my knowledge. When deeper specialized guidance is needed, I will point you to the right people and resources
